Ecommerce 2022 — today
A shop that sells while the store is shut.
Gift cards and prepaid top-ups for a retail store in Thessaloniki: no stock, no shipping, no opening hours.

- 11.1% overall conversion rate over 12 months
- 43.5% of customers buy again
The starting point.
The owner runs a retail store in Thessaloniki, with opening hours, one location, limited shelves and money tied up in stock. Gift cards and prepaid top-ups have none of those limits: no storage, delivery by email in moments, and demand at night and on holidays.
The catch is trust. The customer buys a code they can’t hold or return, so the site has to convince them in the first few seconds.
What we built.
Paysafecard brings in most of the revenue, so navigation, internal links, content and campaigns were built around it.
- Instant digital products and shipped physical ones kept apart, so the customer always knows what arrives and when.
- A design system first: deep blue for the brand, orange-red only where people act, type set for small screens.
- A mobile checkout with as few taps as possible, for a purchase at 2 a.m. on a phone.
- Delivery details, contact and payment methods placed exactly where people hesitate.
- Every product page written in full: what it is, how it works, how to redeem it, who it is for, what to watch for. Built to be found by search engines and quoted by AI answers.
- Email through theMarketer, in table-based templates that render in Outlook too.
What changed.
The store now sells at night, on Sundays and on holidays, in a category with no shelf and no stock. It also has a customer list it can email, in a category where people buy again.
The gift-card category is getting a brand of its own: cardnow.gr, launching at Christmas 2026.
