A shop where every feature pays its way.
Digital gift cards on a very thin margin, where pricing, fees and loyalty are settled in decimal places.

- 79,617 24hr.gr sessions analysed before design
- 43.5% repeat purchase rate in the 24hr.gr data
- 100% of orders confirmed by the payment provider’s webhook, by design
The starting point.
cardnow.gr sells digital gift cards: Paysafecard, Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Roblox, Twitch, iTunes, mobile and TV top-ups. It is a spin-off of 24hr.gr, which has been live since 2022 with a loyal customer base.
The best-selling product runs on a very thin margin, so ads can’t pay for themselves on a single order. And on 24hr.gr a customer who paid but never returned to the page left no order behind.
What we built.
First, twelve months of 24hr.gr analytics and the real customer list. Direct visitors converted 7× better than organic ones and 43.5% came back to buy again, so every decision after that put keeping customers ahead of finding new ones.
- The payment provider’s webhook confirms each order, so closing the phone mid-payment loses nothing.
- The net amount after fees is stored on every order line, so each order’s profit can be measured.
- A new customer verifies their card once, before the first order. No code is issued without a settled order and a verified card, and a person releases every delivery.
- Paycoins, a loyalty programme in four tiers, modelled at its worst case against thousands of real customers. Incentives are points, never coupon codes.
- Thirteen emails in five series: welcome, abandoned basket, win-back, VIP and post-purchase.
- Existing 24hr.gr customers move over when they sign up with the same email, with their account already verified.
What happens next.
cardnow.gr launches at Christmas 2026. The first two figures are 24hr.gr baselines and the third is how the shop is built; what we will measure after launch are design targets, such as an overall conversion rate from 11.1% to 13.5%.
Choosing vendors was part of the strategy: payment fees under 1%, and running costs about €14,900 a year lower than the obvious stack.
